Duntreath Stone Row

Another offering from the intrepid Frank, and again I know nothing about this site other than it is in Stirlingshire, Scotland. Frank tells me, in a flash of technical jargon while informing me I got these sites the wrong way round when htmling them (design flaw in my merge process there that I think I have now fixed), that the site "is generally considered to be the remains of a Clyde-Carlingford type burial cairn, as opposed to a regular stone row."

So now you know.

Purpose: To determine whether this site is a "landscape model" and take photos.
Time since last visit: 12 months
Other marks: Yes
Comments: I am now convinced that the stones on the site were placed to represent the surrounding hills. Cows have churned up the soil around the stones. Very quiet site, I have never seen anyone else here.
